What an absolutely delightful dining experience we enjoyed! Our meal began with a vibrant assortment of fresh, spicy, and diverse vegetables that set the perfect tone as we perused the menu. Though there were three of us, we opted for the multi-selection for two, and to our delight, it exceeded our expectations in both flavor and portion size. The attentive waitstaff made it all seem effortless.

Our selections mostly leaned toward beef, with a standout choice of pork that impressed us. Yet, it was the short rib and tenderloin cuts that truly stole the show – they were simply out of this world. The interactive tableside cooking ensured each bite was bursting with freshness.

We decided to have an early dinner, and boy, were we glad we did! Our evening at this charming establishment was absolutely delightful.

As we arrived, we noticed convenient valet parking in the back for just $2.50 per car, and there was also limited metered street parking right in front.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by cozy booths and inviting tables, each adorned with large ventilation hoods overhead. These hoods proved their worth throughout our dinner, as we emerged smelling considerably fresher than after dining at other places.

Our table was thoughtfully set up, complete with a grill, two delectable salads (my personal favorite was the one with crisp iceberg lettuce and the delightful black sesame dressing), a variety of banchans (including Kim chee, bean curd, cabbage, radish, and zucchini), tantalizing dipping sauces, rice wrappers for our meats, and a refreshing supply of fresh cilantro. Not to mention, the grill’s side wells were filled with scrumptious scrambled egg and corn, just waiting to be savored.

The menu was refreshingly straightforward, offering a selection of meats (either individually or in enticing combos) and separate entrees. We opted for the beef (boneless short ribs marinated and plain, thinly sliced brisket) and pork (mouthwatering pork belly) Magal combo, which also came with tofu and beef soup, an enticing beef sushi dish that was expertly torched right before our eyes, pineapple and mushrooms for grilling, and a spicy hot pepper squid tentacles dish.

Magal BBQ truly made our Sunday lunch for a party of 10 an absolute delight! We called ahead just 15 minutes in advance, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. The lady who answered the phone greeted us with a warm and friendly tone, setting the perfect tone for our visit. Our server, Kevin, was a gem! He not only provided exceptional service but also gave us fantastic food recommendations, expertly managed the cooking process, and even took some fantastic pictures for us. Kevin’s friendly and attentive demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal.

My friends and I decided to celebrate a late-night birthday here on a vibrant Saturday evening, and we were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. The ambiance of this place is incredibly modern and chic, setting the stage for a fantastic dining experience. The service was nothing short of exceptional; the staff was incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the banchan – it offered a delightful variety, although I must confess I’ve tasted better elsewhere. However, the true test of a Korean BBQ joint lies in its meat, doesn’t it? Well, Ma Gal certainly passes with flying colors. We decided to go all in and ordered the pork sampler for four, an absolute steal at just $99. The quality of the meat was unmistakably top-tier, clearly surpassing many other Korean BBQ spots we’ve visited.
